Summer at last

After the really cold winter it all changed in mid April and we have had glorious sunshine since then ( except for some heavy thunderstorms and some sea misty days ). Now temperatures in mid twenties, but fortunately the Island has sea breezes to help cool us down.

The garden has been glorious, from rhododendrons, primulas and the roses, but it will begin to go over with the heat, as the roses finish.

But what a year. Spring happened very fast with everything condensed after a late start.

We have had three coach trips from Holland to see the garden so far this year, who were most appreciative, saying Northcourt was their highlight.
