No offers I am afraid, other than a good deal on the ferries and a forth night and weekly  discount.

We last opened for the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday 24th  May 2025 with 320 visitors. We are willing to allow people to visit in 2025  by prior appointment.  We have groups of visitors including four groups from Holland to see the garden.

Tripadvisor have given us a certificate of excellence and a top 5.0 rating- it cannot get better than that ! 

Self-catering.  The West wing is operated now by our son. 

Walking, music, art and shooting parties. We have enjoyed hosting two music groups, two walking groups and  two art  parties last year. If you want accommodation for a walking or  shooting party or other group on the Isle of Wight, we can do special rates and arrange evening meals.

Heating. For twelve  years now we have heated the house with wood pellets, so we are green ! and very warm.

Group visits.

We are very happy to have groups visit to view the garden and /or house-either day groups or special interest groups and will apply group discounts.

Shorwell Midsummer Fair. This was  last held on Saturday 19th  from 13.30.   It is organised by the Shorwell Midsummer Fair committee, but no commercial stalls allowed.- see www.flickr.com/photos/northcourt for midsummer fair photos . The fair raised over £9500 in 2025 . The fair is now held at Wolverton Manor in the village.

WEDDING RECEPTIONS. Please note Northcourt does  not have a civil license for weddings. We just provide a location for receptions. , but we do not have receptions in school summer holidays and avoid bank holidays. Any reception requires you to guarantee guests taking a minium number of rooms for a minimum of two nights on a b&b and/or self-catered basis. Northcourt Stables. We have had planning granted for  residential coursein the stables and restoration of the building and kitchen garden. The plans are available on the Isle of Wight council website under  http://www.iwight.com/council/departments/planning/appsdip/AppDetails3.aspx?frmId=24352. Due to high costs of renovation and conditions to be satisfied, we are not yet in a position to proceed. However we have built a cottage on footprint of old glasshouses and replaced one glass house for which we received the top IW RIBA award. We fitted a replacement clock tower in June 2018, and the roof has been reslated..
