“From the moment we arrived we were smitten with this fabulous place. John and Christine could not be more accommodating. It was like staying in their home as part of their family.
The breakfasts were wonderful and you can lose yourself in the wonderful grounds .
We stayed away from al the tourist places and used John’s maps to plan our walks.
Check out his book too. I was completely intreagued. So much history ….
We will definately be coming back and soon”

“A wonderfully atmospheric house, complemented by a fabulous garden, a plantsman’s paradise, and welcoming, warm hosts who, in a quiet sort of way, give freely of their time to help you get the maximum from your stay. Wonderful walks on the Downs from the door – all you could hope for and more besides ! Definitely a place to return to and I am already looking forward to my next visit.”

“Our stay at Northcourt definitely exceeded our expectations. I agree with all the comments below so would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful hideaway in a beautiful historic house with absolutely gorgeous romantic gardens. Accommodation on the Isle of Wight does tend to be a little dated but Northcourt is traditional & authentic and we were not at all disappointed. We appreciated the little extras that not all B&B’s provide – fresh flowers from the garden, candles in the bathroom and fruit from the garden at breakfast which in our case were raspberries & blackcurrents. Christine & John obviously work extremely hard to keep the house & garden looking as wonderful as they do but are at the same time welcoming & helpful.”
“My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Northcourt Manor after it was recommended to us by some friends of ours. Both the house and gardens are stunning. After a long journey, it was wonderful to stay somewhere with so much character and with lovely hosts. Both John and Christine could not have been more helpful to us if they had tried. We had an early morning start on one of the days and Christine cooked us breakfast – even at such an early hour on a Saturday! Their fresh warm homemade bread was the icing on the cake for me. They have a black lab called Barney who I think must have the best life in such a superb setting. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here again.””
“Relaxing, peaceful and beautiful place. If you want to relax, you can. If your outgoing there are so many things to do. Lovely walks, long and short depending on your fitness. The hosts are always available to give you ideas of things to do to make your stay more enjoyable. The gardens of Northcourt are just as beautiful and inviting as the wonderful manor. I have stayed several times and i nevet get tired of the place. I am looking forward to going again.”
